 Overview

EAS, Endowment Accounting System, copyright 1995, is a Microsoft Windows based application designed to handle the unique requirements of Endowment Funds and their associated pool of Investments. The application is written in Microsoft Visual Basic and uses Microsoft Access databases. Neither Visual Basic nor Access are required.

The intuitive and logical screen design makes it easy for you to successfully track and monitor your Endowment Funds and the associated pool of Investments.

 

Endowment Information

Have at your fingertips the status of each Endowment including allocated dividends and appreciation. Also, review the dollars available for distribution as determined by your organization's spending policies.

 

Investment Information

The system allows you to update investment data as frequently as required. Investment status may be reviewed on demand. Provides for printing reports for the Investment Committee and for Board Meetings.

 EAS Benefits

ICAS was developed to meet the unique accounting requirements of Endowment Funds and their associated pool of Investments. It provides for managing a single Endowment fund of up to $999 million dollars and an associated single pool of investments.

In addition to the regular Non-Unitized version, a Unitized edition of the program is also available. Networking and multiple fund editions of the system are available for additional license fees.

EAS Requirements

EAS requires a PC with Microsoft Windows 95 or higher ® and approximately 2MB space for the program and database on the hard disk.

  The Development of EAS

Larry Hanson, who worked for IBM Corporation for 32 years, designed and developed EAS. Other products include EAS-T, a Donor Tracking System and ICAS, an Investment Club Accounting System.
